Be a member of The REZ Krewe. Your participation in the virtual marathon will fund the fireworks extravaganza at the 2nd Annual Independence Day Celebration at the Rez! The Barnett Reservoir Foundation is hosting the event on Saturday 29th June, which is free to the public and will have activities at both sides of the Barnett Reservoir. The schedule will include live music, food, drinks, a classic car cruise-in, military static displays & flyovers, kid’s zone activities, a lighted boat parade and FIREWORKS! The Barnett Reservoir Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which makes your registration a tax deductable donation. Your participation in the marathon will help provide the event with a fireworks show that will blow our guest away!
Description:
This is a virtual marathon challenge. Since it is virtual, you can complete it anywhere in the world, with runners from all over the world. You can run, jog, walk, or whatever moves you! Get the swag but save the expense of travel and hotels! You can complete the 26.2 miles all at once, over the course of a week, or every weekend for a month. This is on the honor system – you track your own progress.
***As an incentive for early registration, we are offering a bonus to all registered prior to April 30th: You will receive The REZ Krewe Marathon 2013 t-shirt. The t-shirt is made of quick dry, technical fabric which sports the 2013 Marathon – REZ Krewe’s logo. ***
How it works:
1. Register below.
2. Print your custom running bib and running chart.
3. Map your own 26.2 mile course.
(suggested running routes can be found through your local running clubs or running gear stores)
4. Begin your personal marathon challenge.
5. Track your progress and return completed chart via email (barnettreservoirfoundation@gmail.com) or by fax to 601-856-2437 by May 13th.
6. Receive your medal and goodies.
